White House Hacked

Russian hackers have gained access to sensitive parts of the President's email system, and reports claim that they could see the President's schedule and updates in real-time.

The hackers started by phishing through various State Department email accounts and eventually managed to get into the White House security system.

As deputy national security adviser Ben Rhodes recently told CNN: "We're constantly updating our security measures on our unclassified system but we're frankly told to act as if we need not put information that's sensitive on that system. In other words, if you're going to do something classified, you have to do it on one email system, one phone system."

Hopefully this will come as a wake-up call to most, because if Russian hackers can somehow find their way into the White House, chances are they can or already have found their way into your network. In this day and age everyone is vulnerable and vigilance is paramount to staying secure!

Luckily, the White House classified systems which contain sensitive data relating to national security information were not breached.

Officials say that the code and operational strategy point to a Russian involvement. The FBI & Secret Service are currently investigating the issue.
